Crunchy Delight: Master the Art of Yuca Tostones with this Recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb cassava
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
CORIANDER SAUCE:
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. of sour cream
- 1/2 lemon
- Coriander to taste
- Pinch salt to taste
Preparation:
- Cut the Yucca Root into pieces and peel it using a knife.
- Boil a pot of water and add salt. Add the yucca and cook for 15 minutes or until the yucca is soft.
- Once cooked, let it cool and remove the cassava root.
- Add two tbsps. of cornstarch and mix well
- With the help of parchment paper, form a roll
- Cut into slices and flatten a little
- In a separate frying pan, put enough oil to fry and heat it.
- Fry the Yuca tostones until golden brown (approximately 4 minutes on each side)
- Serve accompanied by Cilantro sauce
